IGN collaborated with Google in this 360 VR action series, terrorist organizations vie for control of the Asset, a highly coveted human carrier of extremely powerful and dangerous augment technology. Experience the adrenaline of being immersed in the heat of battle in a world inspired by Deus Ex. Augmented is best experienced on Google Daydream with headphones for full 360-degree ambisonic sound

Agreeing to go on a group retreat, You and a handful of IGN employees decide to go to Hope County, USA in an attempt to unplug and go adventuring. Relaxing you are all attacked by cultist and Brian is kidnapped. It is up to you and Alanah to get him back by any means necessary.

Inspiration

 

This shows the base guidelines for the game that we were striving to remain true to. I cut together this trailer to try and demonstrate the tone and action that we were aiming for in the production.

Like the AAA title throughout your journey to rescue your friend, you’ll gain access to a vast arsenal of weapons ranging from a shovel to a attacking grizzly bear.

Story

Agreeing to go on a group retreat, a handful of IGN employees decide to go to Hope County, USA in an attempt to unplug and go adventuring. Brian has been taken in by the cult and it is left to you and Alanah to rescue him using a variety of weapons and options inspired by Far Cry 5’s mechanics and encounters.

Features

This is a gamified story, a new, first-to-market mode of audience interaction and engagement that allows users to exercise a certain level of ownership and interactivity beyond the standard social story. this story offers players the choice between one of two options presented to them throughout. To select that choice, users are instructed to tap until they see the segment they chose.

I designed the look of the interactive screens that give the player a range of choices to pick from along the journey. A staple of the Far Cry franchise is the vast arsenal of weaponry and bringing that feature to life was challenging but proved rewarding for the player.
